Based in Greece and with an office in Michigan, US, Meazon is an IoT energy management company that works with global utilities and energy service companies.
Meazon is conducting a pilot installation with the US Department of Energy, the only company out of more than 30 participating vendors to make it to the third phase of a submetering challenge.
The objective is to design a low total cost of ownership energy submeter for the US energy efficiency industry. The pilot is running from February 2017 to early March 2017.

Stelios Koutroubinas is co-founder and CEO of Meazon. Koutroubinas (B.Eng in Elec. Eng, PhD) is an expert in embedded electronics systems design. He worked at ATMEL, ending up as General Manager for their 150 person R&D division in Greece, where the team achieved breakthroughs in Wi-Fi chip design miniaturisation for clients like D-Link, Cisco, HP, Netgear, 3COM and AT&T. He is the author of 12 peer-reviewed papers and two patents.
John Gionas is co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Meazon. Gionas (BEng in Elec. Eng., MSc, MBA) is an electrical engineer and a technology business enthusiast. His background is in market introduction of new business concepts, corporate governance, strategic alliances development and leadership of commercial and delivery organisations. Gionas worked for more than 14 years in executive positions at Ericsson and ABB. He is a graduate of Berkeley’s Executive Programme in Management.
