Pecan Street - Simplifying Microgrids with OpenARMS

A novel approach to community level microgrid adoption and the development of a new generation of residential energy systems

Recorded: 18 Apr 2016

Webinar Overview

Pecan Street in partnership with Concurrent Design, an Austin-based engineering design and build consultant, is developing an open source product archetype called the “Energy Switch” that embodies the full set of performance features described by the "OpenARMS" performance architecture.

The OpenARMS Alliance is a collaborative effort aimed at removing barriers to the adoption of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in the residential sector. The Energy Switch is essentially a residential microgrid-in-a-box. It is intended as a reference design and demonstration vehicle for the development of a new generation of residential energy systems.

In this session Bert Haskel, CTO of Pecan Street Inc, will walk you through the vision, technology and innovation in this approach to community level microgrid adoption.
