Smart Grid security is now more important than ever as smart grids start to merge with distributed systems. An enormous step from a technological point of view and one which also puts increasing pressure on security systems and raises the argument that it is not “when will you be hacked but how many people have already hacked you”. New technologies and strategies are required to combat this issue, something which can be learnt from IT and OT.
By pooling resources from DSOs and trying to create teamwork between them, ENCS have been researching the long term problems and understand that whilst there are short term issues which need to be solved now – there also needs to be a long term strategy included.
Join Klaus Kursawe, Chief Scientist at the European Network for Cyber Security (ENCS) to understand the existing smart grid security issues and the security challenges that have been seen so far. Don’t be hacked before you understand how to protect yourself.
