InnoEnergy’s Intellectual Property Director, Bart Lindekens, is responsible for assessing all InnoEnergy investment proposals from an IP perspective. He provides support and advice to engineers, researchers, project managers and company owners on their IP position and strategy. In addition, Bart provides counsel and patent research on topics such as freedom to operate or infringement analysis, patentability, competitor benchmarking and patent landscaping.
Prior to InnoEnergy, Bart was the Intellectual Property Expert & Coordinator at SIRRIS, a collective centre for the technological industry, where he provided IP support to companies such as High Wind (GeoSea, DEME), CNH (crop harvesting machines FIAT company), Reynaers Aluminium, and a number of SMEs.
Bart began his career as Project Engineer for renewable energy equipment at INGENIUM NV Bruges. He then went on to become R&D Manager at SIBELCO NV, coordinating projects for improving industrial processes.
He has a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Environmental technology, and a Master’s in Engineering, Mining and Geophysics.
