Jonathan has worked in the electricity distribution industry since 2006, where he has worked in a number of areas including primary system planning and design. He is now leading the development of smart grid technologies, methodologies and applications through projects funded through Ofgem’s NIA and NIC mechanisms.
Jonathan has a particular interest in the advancement of new technologies and demonstrating their operation on the distribution network. He has had a number of papers published at international conferences on technology design and system integration, such as Fault Current Limiters, and the future impact of the changing use of the grid and how this will affect the operation and management of the wider network.
He is a member of CIRED’s Session 4 Advisory Group; Distributed Energy Resources and Active Demand Integration and represents WPD at the ENA’s R&D Managers’ Working Group.
