The energy transition can never be achieved without engagement of active consumers, decentralised energy solutions and the integration of RES. In this tech talk, TOBLOCKCHAIN will demonstrate PowerToShare, an award winning blockchain application empowering individuals to share and profit from their energy, helping to accelerate the transactive energy future.
PowerToShare is live at The Green Village, and is the first of this kind of application that includes diverse energy producing and consuming devices like an all-electric house, parking lot and office with solar panels; hydrogen car as power plant, FCEV, FC Scooters, energy storage, direct current (DC) network and DC homes.
The Green Village is a living lab for sustainable innovations at TU Delft campus, where facility researchers and businesses, in close collaboration with several national and local governments, can build, develop, test and demonstrate their experimental sustainable innovations. TOBLOCKCHAIN's partnership with The Green Village provides an environment to implement, test and demonstrate innovations in micro-grid with the close involvement of the public and policy makers in the Dutch and EU government. This tech talk will demonstrate the process for accelerating these innovations from theory to practice, and the resulting blockchain platform helping to deliver the sustainable energy future.
