Increased interest from Turkey in European smart utility expertise - Turkish delegation visiting EUW14

A 50+ Turkish delegation will be visiting European Utility Week on 4-6 November to enable the Turkish smart utility sector to both learn and share best practice from their Western European counterparts.

“We are delighted to bring such a high level delegation to EUW, we created a strategic partnership with Synergy Events to stimulate the sharing of best practices between the smart utilities professional in Turkey and those in Europe and ultimately the rest of the world. This mission is just the beginning” says Sule Dadak Dayangac, CEO of HHB Expo Fair who is leading the Turkish delegation.

The delegation will consist of senior government representatives, regulators and CEO's from electricity and gas utilities, that include:

Mr. Prof. Dr. Ümit Doğay Arınç, CEO of International Gas Training, Technology and Research Center (UGETAM) and Vice Chancellor Of Fatih Sultan Mehmet University

Mr. Hasan Köktaş, President of Turkish Energy Foundation (TENVA) and former President of EMRA (Energy Market Regulatory Authority) of Turkey

Mr. Dr. Zafer Demircan, General Manager of Energy Business in Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources

Mr. Prof. Dr. Necip Camuşcu, General Manager of Metrology and Standardization in Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology

The Turkish delegation will be visiting the event on Tuesday where they will be involved in the conference and the leadership summit. Turkish speakers are included in 3-day conference programme. There will be a Turkey Market Briefing on Wednesday November 5th sharing information on the Turkish market and energy sector and the delegation organization will be represented on the exhibition floor.
