New this year!
Consumer engagement, open access market frameworks and new business models

New this year, Asian Utility Week will have a greater focus on consumer engagement and education issues with the inclusion of a dedicated workshop. Facilitated by US utility consumer engagement experts Risa Baron of San Diego Gas & Electric, Lisa Magnuson of SilverSpring Networks/Power Over Energy and Patty Durand of Smart Grid Consumer Collaborative, the workshop will dive deep into the issues of acceptability of utility programs and ways of packaging services to consumers - Power to the consumer? Engaging customers in today’s changing utility landscape: Educate. Engage. Act.

Stay tuned!
Our Advisory Board asked us to look into the issues of open access electricity markets as well as new business models for the utility industry. In the next newsletters we will highlight more case studies and approaches on these important topics.

Clean Power Asia + Asian Utility Week = Your platform to a smart and clean energy world!
With several renewable energy projects coming on-line across Asia, utilities are faced with the challenge of integrating (intermittent) renewables into ageing grids. It was thus clear that a platform was needed for T&D utilities to meet generators and discuss these and other important issues of common interest.

The co-location of our highly successful Clean Power Asia conference and exhibition with Asian Utility Week will provide such platform. For more information, have a look at www.asian-utility-week.com/CPA
