‘New unifying brand’ unveiled at RAI Convention Centre

AMSTERDAM (9th October): “A fantastic new unifying brand for what is the most important and comprehensive event of the European energy scene”, is how Phillip Lewis, Founder and CEO of VaasaETT Global Energy Think Tank, described the new European Utility Week Corporate Identity, which is being unveiled to stakeholders at the RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam, this week.

European Utility Week, which brings together the co-located Metering Billing/CRM Europe, Smart Homes, Transmission & Distribution/Smart Grids Europe, has been created following a six month programme of consultation with the market. Explaining the thinking behind the new brand, which officially goes live on 12th October 2012, Rick Wall, Managing Director, Global Utility Group, Clarion Events. said: “I am firmly of the belief that the new brand, will deliver even more for our customers and the industry as we rise to the challenges and the opportunities that lie ahead. European Utility Week is the result of an intensive research and design programme which we have been very careful to sense check with our stakeholders. Bringing the three events into a single, unified and strong brand makes perfect sense, and we are delighted at the feedback we have received from all sections of the business.”

Geoffrey Riggs, Marketing and Communications Manager, Elster illustrated the positive response to European Utility Week, stating: “The new name and concept delivers exactly what the market has been asking for.” Bram Reinders, Manager Alliance Management, Alliander, confirmed: “The European Utility Week brand reflects how important this show is for our industry.”

Addressing all show attendees Rick Wall said: “We have created a special European Utility Week stand (D10), to give exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to drop by, take a look at the Corporate Identity and discuss our plans for European Utility Week moving forward.
